GemStone Duo
GemStone is a recently formed Pop/Rock duo specializing in the hits of the 70’s/80’s. The sounds of Fleetwood Mac, Divynals, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, The Eagles and many more favourites come to life with the vocal talents of this duo. With both members on lead and backing vocals backed by acoustic guitar and professional backing tracks, the duo plays the musical favourites from the 50’s through to the 90’s drawing from a huge repertoire.
Sunshine Coast singer/songwriter/guitarist Gemma Donoghue and Brisbane vocalist/guitarist John Cleave, formerly solo entertainers, have combined their talents and experience to form this outstanding duo. Gemma’s voice has similarities to Stevie Nicks bringing a unique quality to the sound of the 70’s and 80’s covers.
The duo is suitable for most types of function including pub/club, weddings, corporate, birthdays, etc.
